New rules of Petroleum Dealers worry Andhrites
X
Consortium of Indian Petroleum Dealers Association (CIPDA) proposed closure of Petrol Pumps on Sundays from May 14th this year by taking inspiration from PM Narendra Modi's fuel conservation talk in Mann Ki Baat.

However, Petroleum Dealers in AP say they had taken this stand only seeking increase of Dealer's Commission. No Purchase of Fuel will be done from May 10th and only the existing stock will be utilized. From May 14th, Petrol Pumps will remain closed on all Sundays. On other days, They would be kept open only from 6 AM to 6 PM.

Forget about oil conservation, Commuters will face severe issues if this rule is implemented. AP Government need to ensure such a situation doesn't arise.

This bandh call only applies for Private Petrol Pumps. Petrol Pumps owned by Oil Marketing Companies will run as usual.
