Ponnala Overpowers Kodanda With BC Card

Prof Kodandaram sought Jangaon Seat from Congress to contest in the upcoming Assembly Polls. Initially, Congress Leadership responded positively to the proposal. This move hasn't gone down well with Ponnala Lakshmaiah who aspired for the same ticket. He made several counsellors and thousands of followers resign in protest against the denial of ticket. At the same time, The Former Minister lobbied in New Delhi and used the BC Card extensively to mount pressure on the High Command.
Ponnala turned down the MP Seat offered by Congress Leadership in 2019 Polls. He warned that neglecting a BC Leader like him would send wrong signals to the partymen and public.
To prevent the revolt from Ponnala, Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi appealed Kodandaram to give up Jangaon Seat while assuring good compensation and the request was accepted. TJS Chief discussed with Congress Leaders about the Asifabad, Warangal East and Miryalaguda seats in the same meeting.
Most likely, Marri Sasidhar Reddy will be the Mahakutami Candidate for Sanathnagar Assembly Segment.
