Karnataka politics have been a hot topic in the national media for the past few days and finally, the floor test in the assembly has put an end card to the sensational developments. Actor Prakash Raj has responded to the developments in his typical style after Yeddyurappa submitted his resignation. He tweeted that "KARNATAKA is not going to be SAFFRON...but will continue to be COLOURFUL...Match over before it began...forget 56 couldn't hold on for 55 hours..jokes apart...dear CITIZENS now get ready for more muddy politics..will continue to stand for the CITIZENS and CONTINUE #justasking.."

Earlier on May 18, he tweeted on the Supreme Court ruling that a floor test has to be taken on Saturday itself. He tweeted "Karnataka..Breaking NEWS...Dear political parties...and politicians....don't be in a HURRY and DESPERATE to develop a state..first prove your worth ..whoever you are ...on the floor tom evening at 4 pm. Be DEMORATIC....SUPREME COURT IS SUPREME."

Meanwhile, the political developments in Karnataka are increasing pressure on PM Narendra Modi. Samajwadi chief Akhilesh Yadav demanded that Narendra Modi should resign from the PM post by taking up moral responsibility for Karnataka developments. He tweeted that opposition parties have won over the money power. The parties who are trying to buy everyone should learn a lesson from these developments. West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee also hailed the development as a win for democracy. She congratulated Deve Gowda, Kumaraswamy and Congress party.
