We Want Protection: Prakash Raj Tells Govt
X
Following the suicide of Tamil Producer Ashok Kumar, Prakash Raj demanded protection to the Film Industry from the Government as it doesn't have proper safeguards despite paying taxes. He believes the extreme step taken by the Producer due to the pressure exerted by a Financier is a reflection of the actual situation in the Film Industry. 'Such suicides happened in the past as well, but nobody noticed them. No one should end their lives in such manner,' he commented.

Prakash Raj found fault with the Centre for remaining silent over 'Padmavati' row. Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat Governments have imposed a ban on the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directorial.

Rajput Community & Hindu Groups has been opposing 'Padmavati'. They assume the film showcases the romantic relationship between Queen Padmini & Emperor Alauddin Khilji. Sanjay Leela Bhansali clarified there willn't be any romantic scenes between Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh in the movie. Even Deepika assured every Indian will be proud of Padmavati. Still, Threats have been issued by various Pro-Hindu Groups and some of them even announced offers on the heads of Bhansali & Deepika. No action was taken against those religious leaders so far.
