Prepare for Polls in October 2018: Jagan
X
YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy made an interesting comment during the hours long meeting with party lawmakers and key leaders. 'Chandrababu Naidu hints general elections will happen in 2018 October itself. As per the information I have, Elections will be pre-poned from April 2019 to October 2018. It will eventually benefit YSRC if that happen. Even if it doesn't happen, There is nothing we could lose. Whenever elections might happen, We should be ready for it. Strengthen the party in all the 175 Assembly Constituencies by then,' he directed the party members.

Recently, Election Commission informed Centre that it will be in a position to conduct Assembly and Lok Sabha Polls by October next year. This led to the buzz that general elections will be preponed by six months.

Jagan has got every reason to believe that there is just one more year to face the polls. If elections were preponed, Yuva Neta will consider it as a good sentiment. In 2004, CM Chandrababu Naidu has gone for polls ahead of the schedule to cash in on the sympathy wave after surviving Alipiri blast. He, however, ended up facing a huge defeat and Congress party led by YSR achieved landslide victory.
