American Business Magnate Warren Buffett is also known for his philanthropic activities. He won't even hesitate to raise funds for charity through auctioning of private lunch. So far, 6 out of 8 such bids have earned $2 million each.
The auction held by eBay from Sunday to Friday night fetched a record price of $3.4 million ($3,456,789). This is almost double the price offered for private dinner with Warren Buffett. Winner of the bidding chose to remain anonymous.
Warren Buffett would contribute the money earned through auction to a San Francisco homeless charity, Glide Foundation. Till date, He donated over $20 million to this foundation which provides food, healthcare, rehabilitation, skill development and housing support to the poor.
