Priyanka Gandhi Joins Active Politics

The long wait has finally come to an end. Priyanka Gandhi made her foray into active politics. Today, Congress President Rahul Gandhi appointed her Sister as party General Secretary for eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Until now, Priyanka Gandhi used to focus on constituencies represented by her Mother Sonia Gandhi (Raebareli) and Brother Rahul Gandhi (Amethi). From now onwards, She will be the trump card of the Congress Party to regain lost glory with a spirited fight in the 2019 Elections. Priyanka is most likely to contest from Raebareli in the next elections as Sonia could retire from electoral politics due to health issues.
On this occasion, BJP mocked Congress saying the Main Opposition can't think beyond family. Here is the jibe at Congress from the Saffron Party - 'First it was Nehru, Then Indira Gandhi, Rajiv, Sonia, Rahul and Priyanka. Who will be next? Congress starts and ends with the Nehru-Gandhi Family'.
