Why BJP Cant End Alliance With TDP?

AP BJP Leaders looked as if they are in a mood to end alliance with TDP and launch battle against the Ruling Party during the internal meeting chaired by Kambhampati Haribabu on Sunday. Even Endowment Minister Manikyala Rao proudly announced he is willing to submit resignation in just minutes if party leadership directs him to do so.

A day later, The same Minister admitted BJP will have a tough time ahead if it ends ties with the Ruling Party. He was heard saying on record, 'In the current situation, We can't distance TDP'.

Manikyala Rao mentioned about the practical problems BJP gonna face by declaring war against TDP. 'Already, Alliance Partners in many states have been distancing BJP. Now, We can't lose TDP which is our biggest partner,' he explains.

Soon after Modi was announced as BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate in 2014, BJD in Odisha distanced the Saffron Party. Both Shiv Sena and Akali Dal haven't been on good terms with BJP right now. So, Manikyala Rao doesn't want BJP to complicate things by losing TDP as well.

The latest statement of Minister gives scope for two doubts - 1) Centre might make a statement satisfactory to TDP anytime soon; 2) BJP Central Leadership might have realized ending alliance will reduce the party to zero in AP.

According to the people, 'Continuing the alliance or ending it will cause damage to both TDP and BJP as they both are equally responsible for the current situation. We want results, not tall claims or false promises'.
