AP PCC Chief Raghuveera Reddy reiterated Special Category Status will be accorded to the state soon after the swearing-in ceremony of Rahul Gandhi. He pledged, 'In case if Congress fails to keep its promise, Won't return to AP for the rest of my life'.

Raghuveer Reddy claimed that ultimate goal of the Congress Party is to ensure AP receives Special Status in 2019. He added, 'I would bring Special Status if Rahul becomes PM. Won't even come back to my native place if I fail to do so. My house, properties and everything I own have been in AP itself. I am staying here for the past 62 years.'

Regarding the alliance with TDP for upcoming Elections, Raghuveera Reddy informed views of party leaders in 175 Constituencies have been conveyed to Rahul Gandhi. He claimed to have discussed with Rahul Gandhi about the strategy to be adopted for improving the poll prospects. 'Clarity on alliance can be obtained within a week. Congress Candidates are well prepared for Assembly and Lok Sabha Polls,' declares Party President.
