After the defeat of Mahakutami in Telangana, Congress Leaders reconsidered their decision to have alliance with TDP for 2019 AP Elections. Today, Raghuveera Reddy clarified Congress High Command hadn't taken any decision on alliance so far. He informed that Party Leaders and Cadre in all the 175 Constituencies will be taken into confidence before taking any such crucial decision.
Since few weeks, A section of media has been reporting that Chandrababu Naidu will sacrifice Kuppam Seat for Lokesh and he would contest from Kalyana Durgam. Interestingly, Raghuveera Reddy is very particular about contesting next elections from the same segment. When quizzed about the possibility of TDP Supremo preferring this constituency, APCC Chief replied: 'Congress Booth Committees have been formed in every village of Kalyana Durgam. Whether if Chandrababu Naidu contests or not, I am going to contest from here on Congress Ticket'.
In a way, Raghuveera Reddy hinted that there won't be alliance between TDP and Congress for 2019 AP Elections. He also ruled out the possibility of contesting from Hindupur MP Constituency in next elections.
