The involvement of SS Rajamouli in the architectural designs of iconic structures in Andhra Pradesh new capital Amaravati drew criticism. Now, India's Top Filmmaker tries to downplay his role in the making of proposed Worldclass Capital.
Rajamouli: 'Just alike the squirrel who played a minimal role in building Rama Sethu bridge in the times of Ramayana, I offered my suggestions for the great capital envisioned by CM Chandrababu Naidu. Frankly speaking, My designs for AP Assembly were rejected. They preferred the original design which looked magnificent. I was told the inputs given by Me would be used in the construction of Media City'.
According to Rajamouli, TDP Government preferred Tower Design for AP Assembly. Norman Foster Team have given a presentation to AP CM Today on corrections sought over two designs in the past.
Municipal Minister P Narayana informed Norman Foster Team will meet CM tomorrow again. He said the designs of AP Capital would remain in public domain till Friday.
