Troubles Mount For Chandrababu In Rayalaseema
X
Rayalaseema region with over 50 seats is proving to be a tough nut to crack for the ruling TDP. During the 2014 elections, this region remained with YS Jagan. This time around, the TDP's problems are manifold. The MLAs, who joined the TDP from the YSRCP, are demanding their flesh. They want their seats to be confirmed, while the loyal TDP leaders, who stood by the party are now worried. In every constituency in Rayalaseema, there are at least three to four groups within the TDP and those who have fewer chances of getting party tickets are now looking towards the YSRCP. They are opening channels to YS Jagan and are discussing the modalities of their joining.

Most prominent name being heard is that of Rajampet MLA Meda Mallikarjuna Reddy. He is all set to leave the TDP and join the YSRCP. He is of the feeling that he the TDP was not giving him the respect that he deserves. In the last electons, he had won by a whisker. The YSRCP cadre feels it can win the seat even without Reddy. Reddy's joining could tilt the scales favourably towards the YSRCP.

Kurnool district's Yemmiganur MLA Janardhan Reddy's name is also doing the rounds. He is also said to be mulling leaving the TDP and join the YSRCP. As of now there is no confirmation about this, but political pundits say it just a matter of time when Janardhan Reddy comes up with an announcement. So, troubles are mounting for the TDP in rayalaseema region.
