Why Did Ram Madhav Declare Laxman As CM Candidate?

On Sunday, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav attended a party workers meet in Musheerabad. Speaking there, he made a very significant statement. He said the BJP wants to see state BJP president Dr K Laxman as the chief minister of Telangana and wanted the party workers to strive to achieve this dream.
Now, why did Ram Madhav term Dr K Laxman as the chief ministerial candidate of the BJP? Party insiders say that Ram Madhav had to say this as the party senior leadership, including Dr K Laxman, are worried about Swami Paripurnananda's entry. In the second and third rung of the party, there is a talk that the Swami of Kakinada Sree Peetam would be declared as the Chief Ministerial candidate. Dr Laxman is upset at this and wanted some kind of clarity about the possible role the Swami will play in the party. So, to assuage Dr Laxman's feelings and to tell the senior workers that Laxman's standing will not be affected, Ram Madhav has specifically talked about Laxman being the CM candidate of the BJP. Interestingly, it is Ram Madhav who played a key role in getting Swami Paripurnananda into the BJP and it was he who arranged Swami's meeting with BJP national president Amit Shah.
Meanwhile, Swami Paripurnananda is arriving at Hyderabad on Wednesday. He would also address a press conference in the BJP state office. Will Laxman and Kishan Reddy be present at the party office to welcome the saffron sanyasi? Let's wait and see.
