GST: Huge discounts on Cars, ACs & Phones!

Leading brands and retailers have been offering big discounts to sell old stock before Goods & Services Tax (GST) comes into effect from July 1st, 2017.
Paytm launched 'Pre-GST Sale' in partnership with 6,000 offline retailers across 500 brands. Consumers can avail discounts and cash back on huge range of products during this period. Prices of Cars, ACs, Laptops, Mobiles, Refrigerators and Footwear have become cheaper now.
Discounts have been offered on Medicines as well. Consumers were encouraged to stock medicines by purchasing at 20% discount by citing there will be a shortage in the month of July.
Bajaj Auto reduced the prices of two-wheelers by up to Rs 4,500. Sportswear Brands such as Puma offer 40% off. Whereas, Brands Such as Allen Solly introduced buy-one-get-one offer.
ShopClues which have 5 lakh merchants has been organizing seller summits in several cities to clear the doubts of merchants about GST.
