In a crazy twist of events, Revanth Reddy decided to submit his resignation from his MLA post and left TDP too.

In October 2017, he joined Congress but he sent his resignation letters to Chandrababu Naidu. He did not send his resignation from MLA seat to Assembly Speaker yet.

So, he is still an MLA from Kodungal constituency. But Revanth Reddy decided to stay away from Rajya Sabha elections.

Reports from media stated that the young political leader believes he has resigned to the party and MLA position long time.

Reports suggested that he said, "I returned my gunman, the day I submitted my resignation and even closed my assembly bank account. I submitted my resignation to my previous party president Nara Chandrababu Naidu and I don't know why he did not send it to Speaker, Madhusudhanachari."

He exclaimed that he doesn't trust the TRS goverment and hence, he did not submit the resignation directly to the speaker. Even though he is seen at the assembly, he just discussed strategy with Congress MLCs and MLAs and did not enter main Assembly hall even once.
