Sachin's Letter fetched Harmanpreet Kaur a Job

Indian Woman Cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur became World Famous with her unbeaten 171 against Australia in the ICC Women's World Cup Semi Final.
Former Indian Women's Skipper Diana Edulji spotted the talent in Harmanpreet Kaur at the junior level itself. Edulji encouraged Kaur to join Mumbai-based cricket team by promising a higher post when she had the offer of Junior Class in Northern Railway. An application recommending Chief Office Superintendent Post for Kaur was turned down by President. That's when Sachin Tendulkar, who is an MP, was requested by Diana Edulji to write a letter to the Railway Minister. Then, Kaur managed to get into Western Railway.
Harmanpreet Kaur faced many insulted when she tried for a job in sports quota. Her Coach Yadwindar Singh said: 'When I requested DGP Paramindar Singh to appoint Kaur as Moga DSP, He asked Me If she is as good as Harbhajan Singh to offer such a post. Punjab Police Department didn't consider our request to sanction her a job'.
There is a lot of difference between the way Male Cricketers and Female Cricketers are treated. A daily allowance of Rs $25 was offered to each female cricketer when they travelled England last time. They used to buy packed food, cook it and eat. But, Things began changing now as daily allowance has been increased to $100 (same amount offered to Male Cricketers) during the ongoing World Cup.
