Jayalalithaa Death Announcement Delayed By A Day

V Divaharan who is the brother of VK Sasikala Natarajan stunned everyone by declaring that Jayalalithaa had passed away on December 4th, 2017. Whereas, The official announcement about her death was made on December 5th.
At the public meeting at Mannargudi in Tiruvarur marking the birth centenary celebrations of AIADMK founder MG Ramachandran, Divaharan declared Apollo Hospitals delayed the announcement by a day due to safety reasons. 'Jayalalithaa breathed her last exactly at 5.15 pm on December 4th, 2016. I went to the hospital the same night upon knowing the news. Jaya was still kept on ventilator. When I enquired with Apollo Hospitals founder Prathap C Reddy, He told Me that the death of CM can be declared only after ensuring the safety and security of the hospital,' he said.
Apollo Hospitals, however, condemned the claims of Divaharan - 'It's unfortunate that unnecessary confusion is being created based on certain misinformation about the date and time of the demise of our former chief minister Selvi J Jayalalithaa, who had expired on December 5, 2016'.
