Telangana Congress Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy who pledged that he won't remove his beard until Congress forms the government received a rude shock. He will have to wait for at least another 5 years to tonsure his beard after TRS registered a landslide victory in Assembly Polls 2018.

Much to his misery, Uttam's Wife Padmavati faced defeat in Kodad Constituency. While TRS Candidate Bollam Mallaiah Yadav received 36,951 votes, Padmavati managed only 34,014 votes. This negative result could even pose a threat to the position of Uttam as PCC President.
