Shivraj Singh Chouhan became the first non-Congress Chief Minister in the state of Madhya Pradesh to complete 10 years tenure.

Actually, Mr. Chouhan broke the record of Congress leader Digvijay Singh who ruled Madhya Pradesh for two consecutive terms (1993-2003). He achieved this feat on Sunday (November 29th).

BJP Leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan got elected as MLC in 1989 from the Budhani Assembly segment. Within a year, He won the Lok Sabha election from Vidisha and represented the constituency for five consecutive terms. In 2005, He has risen to the position of becoming Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. Ever since then he has been continuing in the post unopposed.

In AP & Telangana, Only Chandrababu Naidu was able to achieve this feat. While he served as CM for two consecutive terms (1995-2004), He was sworn in as Chief Minister for the third time in 2014 and already completed close to 11 years in office.
