Usually, Visiting Prime Ministers/Presidents will prefer getting into one of the cars in the convoy waiting for them at the International Airports soon after landing in the foreign countries. In a change of tradition, Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong opted for a chartered bus to reach his hotel.

Singapore PM was accompanied by his wife Ho Ching, Ministers, MPs and Senior Officials. The delegation was received by Union Minister for Statistics and Programme Implementation Rao Inderjit Singh at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

PM Narendra Modi will host a luncheon on Tuesday in honour of his Singapore Counterpart. After bilateral talks, 3 MoUs will be signed by both the Governments.

Later, President Pranab Mukherjee and External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will meet Singapore PM. Thereafter, Singapore Community living in India will hold a reception in honour of the visiting PM.

PM Lee Hsien Loong will tour Rajasthan on October 5th and 6th to sign MoUs regarding tourism and hospitality. Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje will host a luncheon for Singapore PM.

The last time Singapore PM Lee Hsien Loong visited India in December 2012 food ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu invited Singapore PM to tour Amaravati. However, Mr.Lee seems to be having no such plans for now.
