Snapdeal, India's e-commerce giant, signed Aamir Khan as its brand ambassador for a year by paying a record sum of Rs 30 crore. Even though the contract was extendable for one more year, The company doesn't want to renew it but planning for termination. So, Bollywood Star's association with the brand ends this month.

Sources say, Snapdeal won't be replacing Aamir Khan with any other celebrity. Instead, It will focus on reducing the Ad expenditure and try to increase repeat customers through its FreeCharge wallet.

Expert feel Snapdeal's termination of Aamir Khan's contract is related to the actor's comments on intolerance in India. The company even stopped airing Aamir's 'Dil Ki Dea' ads from the past two moments fearing the after-effects of the controversial remarks.

Whereas, Supporters of Aamir Khan complain against Snapdeal's harsh treatment and feel the company should have extended moral support to him rather than distancing him.
