Left Parties Feel Left Out
X
Poor communist parties. Time was when they were just hair-breadth away from power in Andhra Pradesh. Today, they are not just a shadow of their former selves, but also are completely marginalised in Telugu politics.

In AP, they wanted to do hard bargaining with Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena. They indicated through the media that they want 60 seats. They even announced that both the left parties would take 30 seats each. But, the saddest part is that Pawan Kalyan has not even bothered to call them for talks over seat sharing. Though Pawan has announced that he would align with the Left parties, he hasn't made any efforts to rope them in. Meanwhile, he has begun the process of seeking applications from ticket aspirants. And this is for the whole state. He has not even bothered to leave some seats for the Left parties and then seek applications for other seats. But, he hasn't done any of this. Poor Left Parties are not even in a position to protest. They are worried that if they question this, they would end up losing the alliance with Pawan Kalyan. With Pawan giving them Hobson's choice, the Left feel left out and have nowhere to go.
