Supreme Court ruins the Last Hope of Sasikala

In a major setback to AIADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala Natarajan, The Supreme Court on Wednesday struck down the petition seeking review of her conviction in the Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate assets case. Even the review petitions of A3 Ilavarasi and A4 VN Sudhakaran were rejected.

On Wednesday, The SC Bench maintained that it didn't notice any error in the judgement passed on February 14th, 2017.

On 14th of Feb, SC Bench reversed the Karnataka High Court judgement acquitting four accused in the DA Case. Justices Amitav Roy and Pinaki Chandra Ghose sentenced Sasikala, Ilavarasi and Sudhakaran to 4 years imprisonment. Jayalalithaa, A1, passed away on December 5th last year itself. The Three Convicts moved review petitions in SC citing prevention of Corruption Act won't apply to them as none of them are Government Servants. However, SC didn't entertain this argument at all.
