SC rejects Yakub's plea, hanging inevitable

Now it's finalized. Terrorist and 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts convict Yakub Menan is going to end his life tomorrow. Yakub Memon is likely to be hanged on Thursday as the Supreme Court today rejected his plea against the death warrant.
The apex court said there was no "legal fallacy" in the issuance of death warrant by the TADA court. This would clear all the decks for Yakub Memon execution and Yakub is scheduled to be hanged to death in Nagpur Jail tomorrow at 7 AM Yakub's lawyers argued on Government agencies did not follow the correct procedure in this case and asked the Court to stop the hanging judgment given by a TADA court.
Meanwhile he sent a fresh clemency plea to the President today. Its known that Maharashtra Governor also rejected his mercy petition. President had rejected Yakub's mercy petition on April 11, 2014 which was communicated to him on May 26, 2014. Yakub is key man behind the plan of deadly Mumbai blasts which killed nearly 260 civilians.
