National BC Welfare Association President R Krishnaiah was the CM Candidate of TDP in Telangana State for 2014 General Elections. Despite winning as LB Nagar MLA, He didn't actively participate in any of the TDP Programmes since then. The first-time Legislator indicates he is going to end ties with TDP anytime soon.

After the AP State BC Associations Politburo Meeting held at Tirupati, R Krishnaiah alleged Political Parties have been ignoring the demands of BC Community who accounts to over 50 percent of the total population. 'All the parties have been suppressing the BCs. So, We are planning to float a new political party for the welfare of 58 percent of BCs in the country. All the BC Associations will be brought under one platform. We will be conducting BC Gharjana in all the districts very soon. We will stage dharnas at all the Collectorates on October 22nd seeking implementation of the demands,' he informed.

Krishnaiah demanded 56 percent reservations for Backward Classes. He threatened to declare existing parties as 'Anti-BC' if they fail to offer tickets to the Backward Classes based on their population.
