KCR's return gift comment is one of the best post-election punch line in the Telugu states. It is being talked about and discussed everywhere. KCR's confidence showed when he said that he would give a return gift to Chandrababu Naidu. It was interpreted as KCR and the TRS planning to join the campaign in the Andhra region during the upcoming elections. KCR's confidence showed in his comment.
Though KCR always said that he would win 100 seats, internally he told the party leaders that TRS would win 80 seats. He was confident that the party would comfortably win these seats. One reason for the success is Chandrababu Naidu's entry into the Telangana politics. KCR could successfully convince the voters that voting for the TDP would mean that the Telangana people would become subservient to the Andhras. This helped in turning the people in favour of the TRS.
By return gift, does KCR mean he would campaign against the TDP? Well no one knows. But the TDP leaders are saying that they would welcome TRS chief's campaign in Andhra Pradesh. If he campaigns, the Andhraites might turn towards the TDP just as the Telanganites turned towards the TRS. This will help create sympathy for Chandrababu. Hence the TDP leaders very much want both KCR and Asaduddin Owaisi to campaign in Andhra Pradesh. Will KCR oblige them or is he having any other plan up his sleeve?
