TV Actress Killed Self Due To Lover's Harassment

Hyderabad Police reached a conclusion that cheating and harassment from her Boyfriend Surya Teja prompted TV Actress S Naga Jhansi to commit suicide. The Accused was arrested and charged with abetting the suicide. City Court issued orders granting Judicial Custody of Surya Teja for two weeks.
Naga Jhansi committed suicide on February 5th hanging from a ceiling fan in her flat in Srinagar Colony. Family Members of the deceased lodged a police complaint against her boyfriend Surya Teja.
During the investigation, Cops came to know that Surya Teja used to suspect Jhansi's character and pressurised her to quit acting. 'Surya Teja who runs a mobile shop in Vijayawada came in touch with Naga Jhansi in April last year. They had fallen in love. In July, Jhansi informed her Parents about her decision to marry Surya Teja. She even stayed in his house for a week and gifted a bike to him on his birthday in November. In January, Surya Teja went to Jhansi's house and told he would marry her only if she quits her acting career. Jhansi decided to quit acting and began running a beauty parlour since then. Still, Surya Teja kept suspecting her whenever she used to talk with her friends. Jhansi slipped into depression after he began ignoring her. Jhansi was shocked upon knowing Surya Teja is getting ready to marry another girl. Surya Teja, however, denied having any such plans and told he would discuss about their marriage with his Parents after his Sister's Marriage. For a period of 5 days before taking the extreme step, Jhansi was alone in her house'.
