Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud suffered an eye injury on Monday when Congress Members attempted to prevent Governor ESL Narasimhan from delivering his address on the first day of Budget Session. The headphones thrown by Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy hit the eye of council chairman.

Today, Legislative Affairs Minister Harish Rao moved a motion recommending suspension of 11 Congress MLAs for unruly behaviour. Subsequently, Speaker announced suspension of the Opposition Members till the end of the Budget Session and complete ban was awarded for two MLAs (Komatireddy, SA Sampath Kumar).

Following the suspension, Congress MLAs convened an emergency Legislative Party Meeting to figure how to react on the suspension. Few MLAs (Jeevan Reddy, Revanth Reddy) proposed the idea of Mass Resignations saying this is the right time to intensify the fight against the Ruling Party. They wish to send an indication that TRS Government doesn't want opposition to raise people's issues in the House and hence they enacted this drama. Even the Main Opposition is considering the option of moving Supreme Court and Election Commission.
