Telangana's New Liquor policy which comes into effect from October 1st this year is going make the beer lovers jump in joy. State Government is keen on issuing licences to establish micro-breweries at all the Municipal Corporations including the GHMC.

Micro-Breweries felicitates the supply of various kinds of beer, from dark beer to wheat beer on par with other metropolitan cities such as Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. Usually, 1,000 litres of beer will be supplied per day at Micro-Breweries.

Telangana Government will grant licences to establishments within the GHMC limits and those with in a 5 km radius to major municipal corporations. The licence costs Rs 3 lakh per annum and a security deposit of Rs 1 lakh is to be paid. Licence will be valid for a period of one year starting from October 1st, 2015.

TRS Government claims setting up the Micro-Breweries is one more step towards projecting Hyderabad as a Global City.
