Telangana ZPTC, MPTC Elections Schedule

Telangana Election Commissioner Nagireddy on Saturday announced ZPTC, MPTC Elections Schedule. There are altogether 5,857 MPTCs and 539 ZPTCs in Telangana. EC declared elections won't be held in 47 MPTCs and Mangapeta ZPTC. Election Code of Conduct comes into effect from Today itself. Candidates could file their nominations online. Ballot Papers will be used for the local body elections. While White Ballot Papers will used for MPTC Polls, Pink Ballot Papers are preferred for ZPTC Elections.
ZPTC and MPTC Polls will be conducted in three phases (First Phase: May 6th, Second Phase: May 10th, Third Phase: May 14th). Votes will be counted on May 27th.
TRS Leadership kickstarted the exercise to identify the best candidates. KTR has already hinted that Party Leaders who are working sincerely will be given priority. Ruling Party is preferring Former MLAs & MLA Candidates who faced defeat for ZPTC Polls to bag as many ZP Chairman Posts as possible.
As the Opposition Parties are yet to recover from the shock of Assembly Polls, TRS is most likely to win majority of ZPTC, MPTC Seats in Telangana.
