Veteran Filmmaker Thammareddy Bharadwaj shared his views on the stand of Pawan Kalyan on Special Category Status.
Thammareddy: 'Pawan Kalyan spoke about Handloom Weavers, Artistes, Jana Sena Website Launch and Special Category Status at Yesterday's public meeting. I don't understand why PK keeps saying BJP-TDP should give clarity on denying Special Status. Why because, Union Ministers Arun Jaitley, Venkaiah Naidu, Sujana Chowdary, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP Leaders already revealed why Special Status can't be given. What more clarity does Pawan need? Should he want Modi or CBN to inform in person the reason behind denial of Special Status? Does Pawan really feel Special Status is a necessity? Is he asking for an answer why Special Status can't be given or demanding Special Status? If he need only answer, Centre & State has already given it & there is no need to talk about it. If he wants Special Status, Then he should seriously fight for it instead of restricting his role to giving statements once in a while just alike other political leaders'.
'When Pawan gave the call for Silent Protest at RK Beach, A lot of people responded and even faced arrest. Where is the follow-up action from him? During Yesterday's meeting, Pawan told we need people who are brave enough to face bullets. As we have such brave hearts, AP Government feared the call given for beach protest and resorted to arrests everywhere. Even a lot of your fans got arrested on January 26th. The sole aim of every party or politician seems to be 2019 Elections. We believe Pawan's assurance that he has joined politics for the sake of people not for power. So, A lot of people will be walking in the path shown by him if he really fights for people's rights'.
