The End Of Vangaveeti-Devineni Battle!

The rivalry between Vangaveeti and Devineni Families is an open secret. It all began with the murder of CPI Leader Chalasani Venkataratnam in 1974. Within six months, Vangaveeti Radhakrishna (Ranga's Elder Brother) was murdered in retaliation. While Devineni Gandhi was killed in 1979, His Brother Devineni Murali was murdered in March 1988. 9 months later, Vangaveeti Ranga was hacked to death. Following which riots and looting happened in Vijayawada resulting in a damage of Rs 100 crore in the city alone. 42 people were killed in police firing during that phase. As many as 700 buses and hundreds of business establishments were damaged.
30 Years later, Vangaveeti and Devineni Successors were seen on the same stage standing on either side of AP CM Chandrababu Naidu. While Vangaveeti Radha was appointed as the Star Campaigner of TDP, Gudiwada MLA ticket was offered to Devineni Avinash.
For now, Vangaveeti Radha and Devineni Avinash have been offering an impression that battle between the two camps have come to an end. Let's only hope the equation remains the same post the elections as well..!
