Employees and Job-Seekers are worried about the dangerous trend of declining workforce in IT Industry due to Automation. US-based business advisory firm HfS Research declared Automation is expected to 14 percent decline in the Workforce of Indian IT Sector by 2021. Which means, 4,80,000 IT Jobs are at high risk.

These IT Jobs are expected to decline massively in the next 5 Years:

1) Manual Testing: Automation Tools will minimize the role of Manual Testers to find out bugs. Software Test Engineers and QA Engineers are affected.

2) Business Process Outsourcing (BPO): Usually, Companies reduce their work load by offered non-core or administrative work to third-party vendors. A decline is expected in outsourcing because of Automation. Data Entry Operators, Customer Service Executive and Technical Support jobs to face the heat.

3) Infrastructure Management: This is meant to test the performance of IT Infrastructure. Threat to System Engineer, IT Operations Manager and System Administrators.

4) System Maintenance: Modification of softwares to address design errors for improving performance. Service Maintenance and Maintenance Engineers will be losing jobs.
