YCP's Vemireddy in Rajya Sabha race

As per reliable sources, Senior Politician and Industrialist Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy is likely to be nominated to Rajya Sabha by YSR Congress Party.
Apparently, Vemireddy had a close association with former CM late YS Rajasekhar Reddy. He never aspired for any posts during Congress regime. Even after joining YSR Congress Party, Reddy continued to offer his services in a selfless manner. It's because of that YS Jaganmohan Reddy decided to nominate him for the Upper House.
Political Opponents have been criticizing YS Jagan for offering the two Rajya Sabha seats to only Reddys (Vijay Sai Reddy in the past, Prabhakar Reddy now). Whereas, Analysts see it as a strategic move. Why because, YCP don't have enough numbers to win even a single Rajya Sabha seat. By nominating Prabhakar Reddy who is known to be clean and non-controversial, YCP could influence few TDP and BJP MLAs to get the desired result through cross-voting.
On the other hand, Even ruling TDP is aiming to win all the three Rajya Sabha seats though it lacked the required strength.
