'My Children won't enter Politics until I retire'

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu disclosed that he set a condition to his family members that none of them should foray into politics as long as he is active in this arena. 'Until now, People haven't seen either My Wife or Children with Me in public. I had set the condition that they shouldn't be in politics as long as I am active. I'm firmly against dynasty politics. Hence, I never encouraged my family members to take advantage of my position or power. Baseless allegations on My Son's Business and Swarna Bharathi Trust has really pained me. These are parts and parcel of a politician's life. I never bowed down to anyone, even if it's LK Advani. I always believed in doing my duty sincerely and that's how I was able to be in many respectable posts so far,' he said.

Venkaiah Naidu claimed he didn't accept housing plots allotted by Government when he was an MLA and MP. Why because, He was the one who questioned what is the need offering such plots for MLAs in Hyderabad when they have MLA Quarters.

Actually, Naidu thought of retiring from Politics by 2020 as he would cross the age of 70 by then. Unexpectedly, He was forced to retire two years earlier for elevation as Vice President.
