Vijay Mallya surprised everyone with his appearance during the India-Pakistan champions league match last week. Despite facing criticism, The Liquor Baron came to stadium where India-South Africa played the crucial knockout match on Sunday.
Chants of 'Chor Gaya Chor' & 'Chor, Chor' were raised by the Crowds whenever they spotted Vijay Mallya. Mallya looked back when heard these chants and moved ahead. This incident happened when he was heading towards the Hospitality Box in the stadium. Can there be much worse insult than this to someone who once lived king size life?
The Chairman of now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines has fled to UK after Indian Banks declared him as a defaulter and sought his prosecution over non-payment of Rs 9,000 crore loans. After India sought his extradition, Mallya was arrested by Scotland Yard and released on bail. He is currently facing extradition proceedings and could be deported to India by the end of this year.
