Vijay Mallya sends indication about his possibly retirement after turning 60. The liquor baron who is just few days short of celebrating his next birthday says, 'Usually, People think of retiring and enjoying life after reaching 60. There is nothing wrong in it and I'm also heading towards enjoying that phase of the life. Ultimately, One can't be batsman forever and should think about retirement'.

The 59-Year-Old grace the 16th annual general meeting (AGM) of United Spirits Ltd (USL) held in Bengaluru. After stepping down from the post, He welcomed the appointment of Diageo's Asia Pacific and Africa head nicholas Bodo Blazaquz as USL Vice Chairman.

Media reports say all isn't not well between Vijay Mallya and Diageo. Shareholders even advised them to sort differences amicably rather than quarreling in public like school kids. After all, Mallya owns a stake of just 4.07 percent in USL and the pressure mounted by Diageo forced him to step down.

The annual report indicated USL is currently World's second largest spirits firm with an income of Rs 8,353 crore for fiscal 2014-15. More then 117 million cases of 140 brands have been sold by USL annually.
