Protests staged by Opposition MPs in Rajya Sabha soon after the proceedings began on Wednesday led to the adjournment of the House.
YSR Congress MP Vijay Sai Reddy protested in Parliament by holding placards demanding Special Category Status for AP. As the protests continued even after repeated appeals, Rajya Sabha Chairman adjourned the House till Friday.
YCP MPs continued protest even after the end of Parliament Session. Vijay Sai Reddy staged dharna in front of Mahatma Gandhi Statue in Parliament. He questioned, 'Why TDP MPs hasn't been joining the protest for Special Category Status in Parliament? Chandrababu Naidu has given up Special Category Status due to lack of awareness. Centre didn't even offer Package which was promised by it. Injustice happened to AP only because of Chandrababu Naidu. TDP has become Telugu Drama Party'.
