Vijayashanti unsuccessfully contested 2014 General Elections on Congress ticket. She pinned hopes on a respectable position in the party ever since then but was sidelined for reasons best known to the leadership.
As per strong buzz in political circles, Vijayashanti is mulling to join Telugu Desam Party. She seems to be in touch with Telangana TDP Topbrass Leaders since some time.
TDP Leadership is of the view Vijayashanti's charisma could be beneficial for party in Telugu States and she could also emerge as a strong force in the party. On the other hand, Vijayashanti is of the view having the backing of a party like TDP could help her retain lost glory and effectively fight against KCR. So, It's going to be a win-win situation!
