Today, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani told Afghans take absolute pride in their hero and his country can't give away Rashid Khan to India. He claims to be thankful to Indians for giving a platform for his country's players to exhibit their skills.
By tagging Narendra Modi, Mr.Ashraf Ghani wrote: 'Rashid reminds us what's best about Afg. He remains an asset to the cricketing world. No we are not giving him away'.
Afghanistan President reacted in such manner to the numerous appeals from Indian Cricket Fans on Social Media seeking Indian Citizenship for Rashid Khan. Even External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj was flooded with such requests. She, however, maintained Ministry of Home Affairs has to take a call on such matters.
