Several thousands of NRI Gujaratis have taken leave from their regular jobs and businesses to come and have fanned out to different parts of Gujarat to campaign for Modi and the BJP. They are going even to the remotest parts of Gujarat to seek votes for the Prime Minister. They are explaining Modi's achievements and the importance of having Modi as Prime Minister of the Country for another term.
The NRI Gujaratis have come from over 20 countries, including the US, Australia, Canada, UK and New Zealand. The visits of these NRIs is being coordinated by Overseas Friends of BJP (OF BJP). Many NRIs claim that they have been friends with Modi for over 40 years and have been working for him for several years. Many also claim that Modi was their guest when he visited their countries before becoming a CM.
