Who Will CS Back?: Ruling Party or Opposition?
X
Chief Minister YS Jagan is proving to be one-up on Chandrababu as a master planner. Soon after Chandrababu asked for the allotment of Praja Vedika in Amaravati for conducting meetings, YSRCP too has sent a letter to the chief secretary asking for allotment of the same for its party meetings and public interface programme. This is an interesting new twist to the allotment of Praja Vedika. The ball is now in Chief Secretary LV Subramanyam.

After ChandraBabu Naidu wrote to CM Jagan, YSRCP general secretary Talasila Raghuram wrote to the Chief Secretary seeking the allotment. He argued that the place would be an ideal one for Government-ruling party coordination. He has also specified that if the construction is declared illegal subsequently, the party will definitely vacate it. The letter also claimed that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will address meetings in the capacity as the president of the ruling party. With both the ruling and the opposition parties laying claim for the same spot, it remains to be seen what will be the decision of the chief secretary, who is known to be a stickler for rules.
