'Why Did You Not Have Alliance With Jana Sena?'

Highly placed sources say that the Opposition leaders in Kolkata, Lucknow and Delhi have snubbed Chandrababu Naidu by ignoring his efforts to forge anti-BJP front. Besides exchanging of pleasantries, wrapping of shawls and giving of bouquets, parties like the Congress, SP and TMC have largely ignored him. In fact, bored by his constant talk about bringing all the Opposition parties under one umbrella, one senior anti-Modi leader is said to have snapped Chandrababu and asked him as to why Chandrababu, who is trying to bring all the parties together, has failed to bring Jana sena into his fold. If only Jana Sena and TDP had an electoral adjustment, they could have defeated the YSRCP, they pointed out.

Sources say that Chandrababu did not have any answer for that and simply fell silent. Interestingly, none of these leaders share his enthusiasm for attacking the election commission on the issue of EVMs and VVPATs. So, after this meeting, Chandrababu had nothing to say. So, he began talking about the VVPATs.
