JD (S) chief HD Kumaraswamy sworn in as Chief Minister of Karnataka Today. Governor Vajubhai Vala administered the oath taking ceremony in Vidhan Soudha.

Kumaraswamy preferred white shirt and dhoti for his swearing-in ceremony. He took oath in the name of God and Kannadigas.

Congress bosses Sonia & Rahul, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury, CPI's Suravaram, SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav, BSP President Mayawati, NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar, Lalu's Son Tejashwi Yadav and RLD Chief Sharad Yadav had attended the ceremony.

Apart from BJP, Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, Telangana CM KCR and DMK Chief Stalin has given a missing to Kumaraswamy's oath-taking ceremony. KCR, who is planning Federal Front, doesn't want to share dais with Rahul and Sonia. So, He met Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy on Tuesday itself to congratulate them and explain his stand. On the other hand, MK Stalin could be present due to the Sterlite Copper issue in Tamil Nadu.

Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik who is in power since the past 18 years skipped the swearing-in ceremony which was a platform for anti-BJP forces. He have the habit of maintaining good relations with the party which is in power at the centre. This is why he didn't approve KCR's Third Front proposal. Though BJP is the Main Opposition in Odisha, He isn't going against the Saffron Party and that's a big surprise.

If the media reports are true, Naveen Patnaik is reluctant to join anti-BJP Camp due to CBI inquiry on Mining Scam and Saradha Scam.
