The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led Andhra Pradesh Government has begun a massive operation to rid Krishna river of illegal and unauthorised constructions. It began with a bang by demolishing the illegally built Praja Vedika on Tuesday night. Now, it has focused on other buildings too. Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's residence abuts Praja Vedika. Chandrababu Naidu rented a guesthouse built by Lingamanenis. The guesthouse has a water-front and a helipad. This again is an illegal construction built on the river bed in contravention of rules. There is every possibility that the guesthouse too would be demolished.
Those who know YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's determination and strong will, are said to be advising Chandrababu Naidu to vacate the building as quickly as possible before it gets demolished. They have reportedly advised Chandrababu Naidu that there would be no relief for him even if he approaches the court. He was told that the courts have not objected to a government building's demolition. So, there was no question of not demolishing Lingamaneni guesthouse.
Let's see how Chandrababu reacts and how the game unfolds.
