A UAE Court fined a Woman of Dh3,000 for transferring and copying the text messages from her Husband's Mobile Phone without his approval. She was also ordered to pay Dh100 advocacy fees and other charges as well.
Reportedly, The Husband lodged a complaint accusing his Wife of breaching his privacy by copying text messages from his mobile. The Woman admitted committing the offence but claimed to have resorted to it out of suspicion that her hubby is having an illicit affair with an another woman.
Defence Lawyer informed the Court that his client was cheated by her husband whom she married 9 years ago. He conveyed, 'Indecent Texts and Emojis received by her husband from another Woman angered her but she have no intention to harm either her husband or the other woman. My Client hasn't disclosed any of her marital disputes in the counselling sessions only to resolve the issue amicably. As her husband refused settlement, She had copied the text messages to file a lawsuit'.
The Prosecution Lawyer sought punishment to the Wife for ruining the privacy of her husband. Court fined the Woman Dh3,000 (Rs 56,000) and also asked her to pay Dh100 (Rs 1,800) towards advocacy fees.
