Australian Senator Larissa Waters has created history by becoming the first politician to breastfeed baby in a Parliament.

On Tuesday, Larissa Waters was seen breastfeeding her 2-Months-Old Daughter Alia Joy in the House during the voting.

Ms Waters took to Facebook to convey the message that there is need for more women and parents in Parliament. While claiming to be proud that her Daughter is the first baby to be breastfed in federal Parliament, She stresses the need for flexible/family-friendly workplaces and affordable child care.

Politicians have been allowed to breastfeed in the Senate since 2003. However, None of the Women MPs have been able to use this facility so far. Larissa Waters led by example on the first day she came back to Parliament after giving birth to her second daughter.
