What is Narendra Modi-Amit Shah combines real strategy in Maharashtra? The Congress is already weak and directionless. As for the other rival party - the Nationalist Congress Party of Sharad Pawar, there's no contest at all. The party is imploding because of internal fighting and intense groupism. The party seems to have no strategy at all for the elections. Many of its main leaders have already joined the BJP and the famed Sugar Belt politics appear to be a thing of past in the Western Maharashtra.
So, the real fight is not with these two parties but with Shiv Sena. The BJP wants to secure a majority on its own and ensure that the Shiv Sena is in no position to dictate terms to the BJP. So, the BJP wants to win an absolute majority on its own so that Shiv Sena can be shown its place in Maharashtra politics. Hence Modi is going to address 10 public meetings , mainly in Western Maharashtra and Amit Shah is going to address 18 meetings. Already, CM Devendra Fadnavis has covered the whole state through his Janadesh Yatra. Adityanath Yogi, JP Nadda and Rajnath Singh will also be star campaigners.
So, its Target Shiv Sena for the BJP in Maharashtra. If it's strategy succeeds, both the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party would be completely marginalised and Shiv Sena would be rendered ineffective.
