‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ Set for October 9 Theatrical Release; Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad Launches First Single ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’

A seemingly unexpected incident sets off a series of events in Chitralayam Studios’ upcoming new-age crime comedy ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’. Combining crime, comedy, quirky characters and unpredictable situations, the film is gearing up to offer audiences a distinctive and entertaining experience.

Presented by Donepudi Chakrapani and produced by Venu Donepudi under the Chitralayam Studios banner, ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ is directed by Guni Manchikanti. The film features an ensemble cast including Tinnu Anand, Upendra Limaye, George Maryan, Akshay Lagusani, Vishnu Oi, Karthikeya, Vismayasri, Malvi Malhotra, Kasyap, Raja Ravindra and others.

The film has also achieved a unique milestone with its production. ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ is the first South Indian film to be shot entirely in Meghalaya. The team filmed extensively across the state, making use of its stunning natural beauty and picturesque locations, including the breathtaking landscapes of Cherrapunji.

Earlier, the teaser introduced audiences to the film’s quirky characters and the unusual situations they find themselves in. Its fast-paced presentation, comic moments and hints of unexpected twists generated curiosity about the film’s story and characters.

The makers have now announced that ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’ will hit theatres on October 9 as a Dussehra festive release. Marking the beginning of the film’s musical promotions, the team also unveiled its first lyrical song, ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’, which was launched by Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad.

Devi Sri Prasad appreciated the song’s youthful energy and vibrant presentation. He also praised the makers for attempting a different concept and conveyed his best wishes to the entire team for the film’s success.

‘Aaja Meri Jaani’ Brings Peppy Party Vibes

‘Aaja Meri Jaani’ is a vibrant party number featuring Akshay Lagusani and Vishnu Oi. The song is packed with colourful visuals, energetic performances and a catchy rhythm that adds a lively mood to the film’s promotions.

Electronic Kili and Arcado have composed the music, while Kittu Vissapragada has penned the lyrics. Benny Dayal’s energetic rendition adds further punch to the track, complementing its upbeat composition and youthful vibe.

With its infectious rhythm and colourful presentation, ‘Aaja Meri Jaani’ is positioned as a fun musical number aimed particularly at young audiences and music lovers.

Speaking about the film, producer Venu Donepudi said, “We are extremely happy to have successfully completed the shoot of ‘Baa Baa Black Sheep’. The film is built around an interesting incident, and the post-production work is currently nearing completion. We are now preparing for its grand theatrical release on October 9 during the Dussehra festive season.

“Being the first South Indian film to be shot completely in Meghalaya is a very special achievement for our team. We had the opportunity to film in some spectacular locations, including Cherrapunji, which has added a unique visual dimension to the movie.
