This Friday, the film Nagabandham is hitting cinemas and Akhanda producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy’s brother-in-law, Virat Karna, is testing his luck for the second time. More than the hero, two other things will be proven if the film turns out to be a blockbuster.

Back then, when producer Abhishek Nama overtook the film “Eagle” featuring Kalyan Ram from a director, many criticised him for putting his name as a ‘director’ just because he poured money into the project. Taking that criticism into mind, Abhishek has now taken up the direction mantle and carved out Nagabandham. Going by the trailer, it’s not looking like any basic attempt but like something a talented and experienced filmmaker could do. So if the film clicks, earlier rumours on Abhishek Nama will be wiped off.

The second thing is an interesting one. In recent times, many films that have promised amazing Visual Effects in the trailer have turned out to be damp squibs when it comes to the silver screen. Most of the effects fizzled out, some are unclear, some are illogical, and some are very cheapish quality and this happened with some big-ticket films. If Nagabandham’s VFX stand out, then the film will show the way for others when it comes to producing films with realistic-quality CGI imagery.

Within a few hours, the truth of Nagabandham will be out, so let’s see what happens.
